My projects

Ok, so here is the stupid hat I did for my grandma. It turned out cute, but I knitted it on those circulars that I hated, so now it is known as the stupid hat. I will be glad to be rid of it! And also here is the sweater that I am knitting for Paige. The top and sleeves are all done, now I just need to knit the body. I am working on it, but it takes forever just to knit a row! And, Pami, I have been calling Anshan when I have a question about the pattern. They are tricky! You'll get it just fine, with all of the knitters that you have around you. It's not perfect as I have already made mistakes, but hopefully it will be wearable. I thought it was hard to knit it all in one piece, so I think I will try one next that you knit the pieces separate and then stitch them together. We'll see.

Great work - my comment on knitting sweaters from the neck down versus knitting the pieces and sewing them together is that when you are finished knitting from the neck down on circulars you are through! Except maybe for the ribbing around the neck and down the front you only have a tiny area to close under the arm. With a sweater knit in 5 or more pieces you have the chore of sewing together the pieces in a way that they looked like they were knit together. I happen to hate sewing them. You will have to experience both methods before you can decide on your own favorite method.

Nice work Kelly. I'm a little nervous to try a sweater. Yours looks great though. I like the pattern on your hat too. I see what you mean about the bun in the pictures. LOL

Kelly, your sweater looks awesome! For all the trouble you had figuring out the patter, it sure looks great! And at least you know how to do it now. I can't wait to see it when it is done. Do you have a ribbed button column, and do you have to make button holes?
